1839~1925He served 586rd Abbot of myoushinji temple(rinzai school).He has been known as one of the famous monks of rinzai school in Japanese modern era, He was called “Nantenbou” because of his unique behavior that he never took off a nantenbou(stick of nanten tree) being with people.
